We have seen many smartwatches come and go, but few of them makes a long lasting impact like No.1 D5. Still, we are in search of a spectacular smartwatch that can run 3G network like a boss and is completely independent, similar to smartphones. It looks like our search has ended after we reviewed X2 Smartwatch.

Honestly, X2 Smartwatch with every feature we ever dreamt in a smartwatch but unlike No.1 D5, it’s a show-off due to its classical appearance. We even don’t need to rely on the phone anymore because this very watch has both independent Operating system as well as network. We can finally say that:
X2 Smartwatch is a complete 3G Smartwatch on the Planet
Without further wasting any precious time, let’s peek into the details of X2 Smartwatch:
X2 Smartwatch Review – The Details
Design & Display
The chassis of X2 Smartwatch fabricates from stainless steel characterizing robustness and light-weightedness. With that metallic silver color, the smartwatch just glitters in the eye like a diamond.

The dimensions of the watch are 5.35 x 4.50 x 1.46 cm and weighs only 7.6 grams. We know that the terminal appears to be thicker, that’s because of the integrated camera on the right side.

The strap of the watch molds from well-polished plastic leather which is unbreakable. It has a length of 20.5 cm.
The X2 Smartwatch has four buttons (2 on each side) acts as phone buttons: back button, home button, menu button, power button.

The rear of the watch concerns us more than anything. The heart rate sensor, a visible SIM slot, and the speakers are located there. The watch needs some extra care as it’s not IP67 certified.

The X2 Smartwatch integrates a capacitive 1.54 inch IPS display superimposed with an anti-shock and anti-scratch glass screen. Sadly the resolution is not up to the mark, as it’s only 240 x 240 pixels. Still, it’s vivid under sunlight. Apparently, display can’t be compared with No.1 D5. Even the color depth is mediocre along with contrast.
Performance & Features
A Dual Core processor MediaTeK 6572 processor (@ 1.2GHz) is the heart of X2 Smartwatch. It is accompanied by 512 MB RAM and 4 GB storage. Sadly, it does not support MicroSD card. We didn’t like the processor as it’s only Dual Core while smartwatches feature Quad Core CPUs, nowadays. But anything is better than nothing. Don’t worry under the small display; these configure enough to run any app on the watch, flawless. Obviously, it’s a smartwatch; you can’t find Snapdragon and four gigs of RAM under the hood. The 4 GB storage is enough for apps, but that small memory restricts us to download countless apps.
The X2 Smartwatch is the blend of both smartwatch and sports watch and features:
Smartwatch features:
- GPS
- Messaging
- Alarm
- Remote Camera (Bluetooth required)
- Sound recorder
- Calendar and Calculator
- Clock faces
- A Built-in Camera

Sports Watch Features
- Pedometer
- Heart- rate monitor
- Gravity Sensor
Another rare and highlighted trait of the watch is the occupancy of a built-in 1.0 MP camera. Now you would think that 1 MP is less and old nowadays, but on that small display, the picture or video is up to the scale. Besides, in how many smartwatches we get to see a built in camera? Tell us!
Connectivity
Mentioning the wireless connectivity first, the X2 Smartwatch is based on an independent network with supports 2G as well as 3G with the Micro SIM slot on the back. Well, that’s something rare for a smartwatch. We also get to see WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth v4.0, as the smartwatch has Android OS. The reception seems to be high in contrast with the small size of the watch.

OS & Battery
Now mentioning the selling point of the terminal, apart from connectivity, X2 instead of relying on Smartphone has its own Operating System. The smartwatch runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). We know, it’s sometimes hard to believe that Android apps can run on a small device like that, but seriously, almost 90% of the apps from the play store are compatible with X2. The remaining 10% either needs a powerful hardware or a large display to play.

With the gravity sensor, this smartwatch supports GPS. So, we can easily download Google Maps and let the traveling begin without a phone.
There’s a reason to use MTK 6572 processor and less RAM which is because both of the components are energy efficient. When combined with 600 mAh non-removable battery and low-resolution display, the watch last for days (3 days) with regular use. As the watch is advanced, it supports magnetic charging.
