JISIWEI J-BOT3 vacuum cleaner review

By mostafa   Posted at  7:09 ص   No comments
JISIWEI J-BOT3 camera
The vacuum cleaners have been become a part of our life, and now many manufacturers are working hard to enhance them. We have already reviewed a few robotic vacuum cleaners with attractive features and functionalities like the SeeBest C561 and D730, and though we were excited of their specs list and capabilities, seems we have found a better cleaner to introduce you. This gadget is dubbed as the JISIWEI J-BOT3 and as you’ll see there are many specs you have not heard about yet.
JIWISEI J-BOT3
Honestly, we have seen several robotic vacuum cleaners that act quite smart like avoid falling or climb 12mm obstacles, but have you ever seen cleaners programmed to catch off guard thieves or intruders? Or could you imagine such gadgets are able to oversee your baby when he/she is sleeping or see what your pets are doing when you are not home? However, things happen, and it turns out we can acquire a vacuum cleaner to free us from routine work, but it will serve us in other spheres of our live as well. So let’s not lose time and get acquainted with the key features of the JISIWEI J-BOT3.

JISIWEI J-BOT3 Design

Like all other robotic vacuum cleaners this one comes in a round housing as well. The top of the cleaner carries three important features we have to mention. First, the JISIWEI J-BOT3 comes with a web camera. Second, anti-collision sensors are placed next to it, and finally, an infrared sensor receiver is located there as well. There is nothing on the top besides these three specs and a logo of the manufacturer.

The bottom side of this cleaner is more interesting as almost all the necessary features are located there. For example, you can find the auto recharge connector, 360 degree wheel, side brush, anti-drop sensors, mop pad at 120x180mm, side wheels and suction hole.
The rest of features is in the body and we’ll talk about them later, while the rest of sensors are located around the cleaner.
Commonly, the JISIWEI J-BOT3 sport a very slim body capable to prowl all the narrow places, but looks attractive as well. It comes at dimensions of 34.00 x 8.80 x 8.80 cm and weighs only 2.6kg. Though I don’t think it’s important, but this cleaner is available in black, white and gold colors.

JISIWEI J-BOT3 Cleaning Methods and Modes

This robotic vacuum cleaner comes with a list of cleaning methods and modes that exceed other models in number. For example, the JISIWEI J-BOT3 comes with a suction, sweep, mopping and drying all in one, while there are up to 7 routes for it. Shortly this means the vacuum cleaner is capable of reaching the outermost corners of your room and even go into corner or under the bottom of furniture.
JISIWEI J-BOT3 cleaning routes

JISIWEI J-BOT3 Movement

The first thing that this cleaner takes into account when moving is detecting where it could fall. So developers have equipped it with an anti-drop feature allowing the J-BOT3 to find out where are the stairs and keep away from it thanks to corresponding sensors.
As you know, there are many cables in houses and it’s very easy for robots to tangle in them. So the manufacturer has added an anti-tangle option to help the cleaner to stay away from those situations.
The JISIWEI J-BOT3 also comes with a climbing ability, thus if the obstacle has a height less than 15mm it can climb it and continue cleaning. Truly, this is a very attractive features, because many cleaners support only 12mm climbing.
Finally, there are 7 infrared sensors and a TPU sensor film that will protect the device from collision.

JISIWEI J-BOT3 Cleaning

This robot is capable of cleaning a 200sq.m, which is a huge area. But in terms of mopping it can serve only 120sq.m due to 180ml four-channel seepage stream. That’s why its dust box capacity is a bit larger than what we see at others – 600ml. This box comes with a HEPA Efficient Filtration that can identify a dust by its size and ingest it in a special way allowing the cleaner to fit more dust. Its suction is 800pa, which is better than our expectations as well.
I guess you have been waiting for this cleaner to come with auto cleaning option, because such devices should have such features. And as for the JIWISEI J-BOT3 does. You can schedule the work and it will start cleaning on a certain date at a certain time even if you are not home.

JISIWEI J-BOT3 Charging

The cleaner is packed with a 2200mAh Li-ion battery that fully charges in 3 hours. This is enough to work 2 hours and to clean 200sq.m. without additional charging, but if the cleaning process requires more or the cleaner has begun cleaning not fully charged, the JISIWEI J-BOT3 has an auto-charging option that makes the device to identify where is the charging dock and get it.

JISIWEI J-BOT3 Special Features

As I said at the beginning of the review, the JISIWEI J-BOT3 has a few special features that make this device to stand out among other robotic vacuum cleaners. First, it refers to App control. The cleaner comes with WiFi, 3G/4G connectivity support that allows users to control it via your smartphone from anywhere. If you are aware of there are many cleaners controlled by special wireless controllers. This one comes with a remote controller, but allows users to implement the same via other devices.
Second, the JISIWEI J-BOT3 is packed with a 1MP camera with 120 degree wide view angle lens that allows users to record videos or shoot photos. Thus you can use this device even for other purposes, say, you can check whether your baby sleeps calmly or not. This is quietly possible, as its noise level is less than 65dB.
JISIWEI J-BOT3 camera
The cleaner can be controlled via voice prompt. Thus you can use special commands to make it to start recharging, cleaning or anything else.

JISIWEI J-BOT3 Packaging

The package of the JISIWEI J-BOT3 comes at dimensions of 48.00 x 45.00 x 18.00 cm and weighs about 4.6kg. It includes the vacuum cleaner, one remote controller, one charging dock, one EU adapter, one cleaning brush, one bristle brush, four side brushes, two mopping pads, and an English manual.

JISIWEI J-BOT3 Pricing

The JISIWEI J-BOT3 is set to be launch in the near future at a price tag of $179.99. So you can use the buttons below to form your pre-order.

Conclusion

I guess vacuum cleaner will become smarter in coming years, and like the JISIWEI J-BOT3 they will come with more options behind the cleaning. So this a perfect opportunity to get acquainted with those additional features of this cleaner and wait for more.

Bose QuietComfort 35 Review

By mostafa   Posted at  7:03 ص   No comments

This is the headphone that you must have been waiting for; an excellent noise-cancelling headset that is also wireless. I have a good taste for music and I’m careful about the devices I employ to deliver undistorted and undisrupted sounds to my ear drums. I would want an elegantly designed exterior with a quality input-output ratio. I may categorically assert that the Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones are more versatile than ever as it is being released from the leash.
Bose QC35 vs QC25Bose QuietComfort 35 (Left) | Bose QuietComfort 25 (Right) – Which one is better?

This is one of the best noise-cancelling headphones you could ever buy. It has a refined design, sporty and strong look, a balanced sound and impressive battery life. I have been using the Bose QuietComfort 35 for a while now, and I bring you the review from the perspective of an end user.

Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Specifications

  • Active noise cancelling.
  • Bluetooth.
  • 2.5mm jack for wired connection.
  • 20-hour battery life.
  • Black and grey colour available.

PACKAGING

Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Packaging
For a headphone of this worth, it is disappointing the way the product was packaged. It lacks the glamour of unboxing a gadget of this calibre. There’s no wow factor; it’s like you are unboxing a $30 accessory.
Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Packaging
The unimpressive first impression is eroded by the view of a semi-hard neoprene black case with the Bose Logo clearly emblazoned on it. Inside, you’ll find the Quiet Comfort 35 neatly wrapped, tight and kept safe throughout shipping; you will also find a 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable and Micro-Usb charging cable. The hard carrying case is one of the reasons I love the QC35; it helps to safeguard the headphone from destructive elements.
Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Packaging
I was a bit worried about the asymmetric shape of the case and figuring out how to fit and fold the QC35 inside. It will fit inside the case quickly regardless of how you wrap the right or left ear cup.

  • QC35 headphones.
  • Audio cable for wired connection.
  • USB cable.
  • Airline Adapter.
  • Carrying case.

DESIGN

Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Design
If you’re conversant with Bose headphones, the QuietComfort 35 is not a strange or outlier design. It looks like most of the manufacturer’s product barring some minor trim and colour differences. The Bose QuietComfort 35 is designed for an understated palette; the dull looks will catch the fancy of most average users.
Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Build
The outer layer of the ear cups is crafted with metal, while the frame and head band are made of thick plastic. They’re adorned in a beautiful faux-leather that strives to stay quite cool, even in hot weather. There must be a reason for Bose to have coined the word “Comfort” in the name of these headphones.
Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Comfort
The Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones come in two colour variants. There’s the classic Bose silvery-grey, of which I’m a great fan – the two-tone trim works perfectly for me; and the most austere black, which in my view lacks the glamour of a top range headphone. Surprisingly, the headphone is light in weight; it weighs 234 grams without the wires.

SOUND QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE

Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Performance
Noise-cancelling headphones have never been my best choice; I used to believe the algorithm always affect the quality of the sounds. I can only point to Audio-Technica ATH-ANC70 headphones like the one I’ve used on a long-term. But Bose QuietComfort 35 makes me want to throw out my Audio-Technica headphones. I appreciate the wide and encompassing sound stage, despite being close-backed units, and lack any hissing and white noise that usually muddle the sound.
Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Speakers
The QC35 has a digital equaliser that automatically customizes the sound on the go, preventing one aspect from overpowering the other at any volume.
At lower volumes where some element of the sounds becomes inaudible, the Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones continually provide excellent sound at a smooth and accurate level. The detailed treble or mid-range is not drowned out by the apparently meaty bass output which is actually under control, nor go missing at a very low volume.
There’s a good balance achieved by the equaliser (might be debated by audio purists) no matter the genre, tempo and loudness of your smooth jazz or harmonica. Nonetheless, the Bose QuietComfort 35 delivers excellently regarding sound despite the Bluetooth streaming. A significant loss is an incompatibility with aptX which is a codec that would have added to the quality of the audio over Bluetooth.

CONTROLS

Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Controls
Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Volume Controls
The entirety of the controls is fixed on the right ear-cup. A press turns the headphones on and sets up Bluetooth connections; it allows for up to two devices to be connected at once, or switch between multiple devices using the Bose app.
Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Bluetooth
The side buttons are meant to adjust volume and control your device. The multi-function button plays or pauses music accepts calls and initiates voice commands. With your right hand, you have everything within your reach.

BATTERY

Bose QuietComfort 35 Headphones Charging & Battery
I confirmed the manufacturer’s claim of a 20-hour life after a single full charge of the device. Since I listen to music at a lower volume, I achieved more. It isn’t bad at all, and matches the best rechargeable noise-cancelling headphones available out there in battery life.
Do not by mistake or sleeping off forget to switch off the QuietComfort 35; it doesn’t turn off automatically. If left without turning off overnight, the juice will be totally drained. You can only use the Boss Connect app to remedy this annoying oversight by the manufacturer. With the app, you can schedule it to turn off for a range of time intervals between 5 minutes and three hours.

PROs

  • The noise cancelling is superb.
  • The mic is a good use for calls.
  • Very light and comfortable.
  • The battery life is impressive.
  • If battery dies, works in wire mode with the included cable.

CONS

  • Absence of aptX.
  • ANC cannot be turn off.
  • The battery is not user replaceable.
  • Boring design.

VERDICT

In just a day of blasting good music on my new Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones, it has become my new love. I can now listen to music frequently and longer without having a kind of itchy feeling in my ear. I never wanted to put this away as I was enjoying good sounds in a comfortable manner, it is so easy, calm and firm on the ear in more ways than just the noise cancelling feature.
I would have said Bose came quite late to the hybrid party, but they came prepared. With a long standing battery of around 20-hours of good music, with an unrivalled noise cancelling, the QuietComfort 35 is a game changer.

KII Pro TV Box Review – Size does matter for $87!

KII Pro TV Box Review
The KII Pro TV Box is the latest TV box from Videostrong, popular tech gadgets makers in China. From my first contact with the device, I can conclude that the KII Pro is a slight step-up from the KI / KI Plus TV Boxes. I know you will be wondering why I tagged it as a step-up; most of the specifications of the KII Pro TV Box are similar to those on the KI, but the funny thing is that they are all double on the K2.
For instance, while the K1 plus has a 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM capacity, the KII pro packs 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM capacity.

The manufacturer Videostrong has churned out an impressive line of dongles and Android-based video boxes since its establishment in 1998. To the fulfilment of my expectations, the KII Pro has proved not to be negatively different in aspects like quality and performance.
This KII Pro TV Box review considers all the functionality of the KII Pro TV Box based on contact and usage.

Packaging and Unboxing

KII Pro TV Box Packaging
The KII Pro TV Box comes in a standard packaging format. The white box is better than most TV boxes packed like Pizza in a box with no attention to quality. All you’ll need to use the TV box is provided in the box, apart from the digital TV antenna which you’ll have to purchase separately.

Inside the box, you’ll find the following;

KII Pro TV Box Remote Control
  • KII Pro TV box.
  • DC power adapter.
  • HDMI 2.0 Cable.
  • HR remote control.
  • User’s manual.

KII Pro TV Box Design

I won’t stop pointing out the similarity between the KII Pro and the KI Plus; they also share a similar design but not in an identical way.

The model name printed on top of the box in White and Red letters stands out on the Black plastic.

The left side of the box has the power button and the LED indication light. The power button is not the only way to switch on/off the device; it is also possible on the provided HR remote control.

Performance and Testing

The big brother to K1 Plus was subjected to a series of tests, and considering the fact that it shares a similar architecture to its predecessor, the performance is not just different but outstanding! In fact, the benchmark testings were conducted thrice to remove doubts.
KII Pro TV Box Antutu Geekbench Benchmark Results
The Antutu benchmark application tests single core performance and multi-core performance of a device’s processor, which is a better indication of the performance of one device over others sharing similar specifications. Unlike on the KI Plus, the test went seamlessly on the K2 Pro TV Box, and the result places it in a nice middle position on the table (of TV Box rankings based on the Antutu benchmark results), two steps above the KI Plus and one place below the more powerful Videostrong YokaTV KB2.
There is a noticeable and appreciable improvement with the KII Pro over the KI Plus, as the Antutu video results revealed a 916 vs. 897 result. The KII Pro plays 10-bit files more superbly than the KI Plus, and this is attributable to the use of the new Kodi 16.1 Media Center application. Stability is a quality of the KII Pro, and it has several pre-installed add-ons to further grill that into the overall user experience.
KII Pro TV Box Connectivity
KII Pro TV Box Ports
Being a special addition, the K2 Pro TV Box supports DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 digital TV protocols, and efficiently so. I accessed this capability both from the app list and pressing the DTV button on the remote. This is enabled by a pre-installed special app called “DTV”. Each and every time you open the app, you have the choice of selecting either of the DVB-S2 and DVB-T2 tuners.
KII Pro TV Box User Interface
Upon turning on and using the TV box for the first time, I was presented with the option of scanning for channels. Don’t make a mistake I made which is attempting to use the inbuilt antenna in the KII Pro; it’s not too efficient. Ensure you get an external antenna which is absent in the package, or at least improvise with an existing digital TV antenna if you have any.
KII Pro TV Box WiFi Speed Test
The scanning process was fast and swift, and reception was excellent, despite using a small antenna which instead of placing it outdoor, I kept in the room.

Display and Graphics

KII Pro TV Box Display Output
The picture output is excellent, most especially in HD resolution. The standard SD quality is also stable and good as well. You can record to either an external USB drive via any of the four High-speed USB 2.0 ports (which also supports U DISK and USB HDD) or the Micro SD slot which allows you to expand the default internal storage capacity to 32 GB. Recordings can be set-up in the app settings, and I was also able to set create schedules from the EPG by clicking on my favourite program which I’d love to watch later or again.
KII Pro TV Box Software Tiles
While a program is on, you can also record by clicking on the remote control record button to initiate the action. I was able to save my several episodes of my favourite shows in full HD.
KII Pro TV Box Gaming Test
The K2 Pro comes pre-rooted and can run any program thrown at it. From resolutions ranging from 720p, 1080P, 4k/UHD, 2160P and 4K TS HEVC files, to video formats such as AVC (High@L4.1), AVC (High@L5.1), AVC (High@L4.1), HEVC (H.265), and HEVC (H.265) 10-bit all playing correctly on local playback and Network (Wi-Fi/LAN) Playback with little or no buffering and stuttering. It was only on 4K TS HEVC files that partial results were recorded. Isn’t that sweet enough for a device of less than a 100 bucks? 😮 .

Sound and Audio

Just like the picture output, the audio quality is indeed satisfactorily excellent. However, two crucial issues stood out. The first is the inability of certain HD channels to produce sounds, even though the audio track format (AC3 being the bad egg) was recognised.
The second is the lack of a perfect synchronisation between the audio and the video interfaces. The audio had a fairly tough time catching up with the video in real-time playback. This can be a real deal-breaker for some, but note that this doesn’t happen every time, just too frequently.

Software and Applications

KII Pro TV Box Applications
The KII Pro runs on Android 5.1.1 right out of the box. While this isn’t the latest Android TV Box Operating System version we’ve seen, it is good nevertheless and comes with a bevvy of apps that work great for what they are designed.
KII Pro TV Box Storage Details
KII Pro TV Box Software Details
KII Pro TV Box Device Details

Pros

  • Easy to set-up straight out of the box.
  • Hybrid display nature of the TV box.
  • The device is affordable.
  • Offers De-synchronization of audio and video.

Cons

  • A digital antenna is absent in the packaging.
  • Inadequate information in the user guide.
  • Problems with synchronisation of audio and video.

KII Pro TV Box Review – My Verdict

If asked whether I liked the KII Pro TV BOX or not, I would say I’m loving it increasingly with every use. If you own the older brother like I do, you will easily spot the huge improvement which comes at a lower cost. Sincerely, it offers good but not perfect performance, and the in-built Digital TV support is an added value.
For many Kodi enthusiasts, this Amlogic S905 chipset powered TV box will deliver an almost perfect all-around solution which displays to their screen crisp HD terrestrial digital channels independent of internet speed, in addition to the good video decoding capabilities.
I will definitely recommend the KII Pro TV Box if asked. It may have few issues that need to be improved upon (in subsequent releases), but nevertheless, it’s a great device at an affordable price.
